If a Cub Scout has completed the first grade (or is 8 years old) and has earned the Bobcat Badge, he may start earning the Wolf rank. He receives a Wolf Scout handbook, Wolf neckerchief, and Wolf neckerchief slide when beginning the Wolf portion of the boy scout trail. He will also need a blue Cub Scout Uniform.
After earning the Wolf badge by completing 58 of the 74 available achievement tasks, the scout may earn arrow points by completing electives. There are 12 achievement areas and 23 elective topics that might interest your scouts.
A handy form that provides a chart for tracking achievements is attached. The reverse side of the form will allow you to track achivements and electives for both Wolves and Bears.
You can give your boys encouragement by using the Cub Scout Instant Recognition kits. On these kits, they are awarded a yellow bead for every three achievements completed.
After the Wolf Badge is complete, they can begin to work on their arrow heads. The first ten electives will get him a gold arrow head. Every ten electives thereafter is awarded with a silver arrow head.
- The Cub Scout Den Meeting Program form lays out the order of a Cub Scout Den Meeting and explains what each section should be.
